our lead pastor

My Church is One Big Happy Family

Pastor Ron Koppelmann, Jr. was born and raised north of Gerald, Mo. and has lived on the farm that has been in his family since 1891. He and his wife Cindy, who were married on June 16, 1984, and his father Ron, Sr. and his wife Pat live at Koppelmann Valley Farm still today. They have two sons Ron, III (aka Buddy) and his wife April, and David and his wife Hannah.

Pastor Ron, and Cindy, are active in the Lions Organization, and were involved with many youth related programs such as the Missouri Lions All State Band, where Ron served as State Chairman for seven years. They were also active in Boy Scouts, band boosters, track, cross country, and other activities with their sons. Buddy and David are both Eagle Scouts. Buddy plays the trombone, and David plays the tuba, and they both performed in the Lions band 4 years each.

Pastor Ron became a Presbyterian in 1981 at Boeuff Presbyterian Church, in Gerald, Mo. He sang in the choir, served as president of the youth fellowship, served as Ruling Elder and as Clerk of Session for many years. In the Lions Club, he served as President, Secretary for 20 plus years, Hall Manager, Cabinet Sec’y., and was elected and served as District Governor in 2006 – 07.

In 2011, Ron felt the pull to become a Pastor. He attended classes through Giddings Lovejoy Presbytery in St. Louis, and from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. He was commissioned to First Presbyterian Church in Sullivan in April of 2015, and retired from that commission on July 3, 2022.

Pastor Ron was commissioned to Boeuff Presbyterian Church on Sept 4, 2022. This is a very loving and caring congregation. They are a group of people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and work for Christ. The church has many activities, such as a prayer shawl ministry, which reaches out and touches many lives. It has been said by some of the recipients that they really feel God’s presence when they are wrapped in the shawl. Boeuff on occasion will host a movie night, were we watch new movies, as well as the classics, but all in all, we have great fun and fellowship. There are other activities as well. The fellowship is great, as well. After church fellowship is a great time to catch up with friends.

If you are looking to have a more personal relationship with Jesus Christ, come by and visit us on Sunday at 10 AM. Meeting God online is ok, but to have a more personal relationship with God, come and have fellowship with other Christians, and share your stories of how God has blessed you in your life.
